Let initial price be Rs.100
Increase in price=20%
New price=100(1+20100)
=120
Now the price is decreased by 10%
New price=120(110100)
=108
final price=108
initial price=100
Increase in price=(108100)=Rs.8
%increase=increase(in Rs)initial price×100
=8100×100%
=8%
Hence, there is 8% increase in price
