Step 1: Given data:

Price of an article=Rs.8,250

Rate of GST=10%

New rate of GST=20%

Step 2: Calculate list price:

Let the list price be Rs.y.

Then,

y+10%ofy=8,250y+10100×y=8,250y+y10=8,2501110y=8,250y=8,250×1011y=Rs.7,500

So, the list price is Rs.7,500.

Step 3: Calculate the amount paid by the customer:

Calculate the selling price.

Sellingprice=Listprice+20%ofListpriceSellingprice=75,00+20100×75,00Sellingprice=Rs.9,000
