Solution

Finding the new price of petrol:

The price of petrol was 65.

The price of petrol was increased by 4%.

Increase in price =4%×65=4100×65=2.60

New price of petrol =Oldprice+Increaseinprice=65+2.60=67.60

So, the price of petrol was 67.60

Now, The price of petrol was reduced by 5%.

Decrease in price =5%×67.60=5100×67.60=3.38

Final price of petrol =Increasedprice-Decreaseinprice=67.60-3.38=64.22

Hence, the price of petrol now is 64.22
