As it is given that the Original price of sugar $R s 20$ .
New price $R s 18.50$
$P e r c e n t a g e d e c r e a s e = \frac{o r i g n a l p r i c e - n e w p r i c e}{o r i g n a l p r i c e} \times 100 %$
$= \frac{20 - 18.50}{20} \times 100 % = \frac{1.5}{20} \times 100 % = 7.5 %$
Hence, the decrease percentage is $7.5 %$ .
