Question

The primary and secondary coils of a transformer have 50 and 1500 turns respectively. If the magnetic flux ϕ linked with the primary coil is given by ϕ=ϕ0+4t, where ϕ is in weber, t is time in seconds and ϕ0 is a constant. The output voltage across the secondary coil is

Solution

The correct option is B 6000 V
Equation of transformer:
Vp=Npdϕdt
Vs=Nsdϕdt
And, VpVs=NpNs

Using:
Vp=Npdϕdt

We get
Vp=50×4=200

Now let's use
VpVs=NpNs
Vs=6000 V
