Solution

The correct option is C

0 volts

A transformer works on the principle of electromagnetic induction. Electromagnetic induction is the phenomenon in which an emf is induced in the coil if there is any change in the magnetic field linked to the coilIn orderer to change the magnetic flux, the possible way is to change the direction of current flowing through the coil. The direction of current changes periodically in an AC source and hence it is required to generate emf in the secondary side of the transformer. Hence, there would be no voltage across the secondary of the transformer as the primary coil is connected to a battery source, which is DC.
