P(passs in phy)$=\frac{2}{5}$

$\therefore$ P(fail in phy)$=1-\frac{2}{5}=\frac{3}{5}$

$\therefore$ P(pass in math and fail in phy)$=\frac{4}{9}\times \frac{3}{5}=\frac{4}{15}$.
