Solution

Evaporation: The change of water from liquid to gaseous state or vapors is called evaporation.

The conditions which can cause evaporation are as below:

  • Temperature: Evaporation is the result of higher temperatures.
  • Wind speed: With the flow of air across the liquid, the rate of evaporation raises.
  • Humidity: The dryness of the surrounding air increases the rate of evaporation means if less humidity the rate of evaporation is greater.

Hence, the process of changing water into its vapor is called evaporation.
