Phagocytosis is the process in which Amoeba uses its false feet or pseudopodia to capture its food. The Amoeba moves towards its food through extensions called pseudopodia. The pseudopodia extends all around the food particles and completely engulfs the food. It gets digested inside the food vacuole as lysosomes containing the digestive enzymes fuse with it.
