The process of separation of miscible liquids done by _____.
Distillation
The answer is distillation.
Distillation is a process where a mixture of two or more miscible liquids (also called 'components' ) are separated from each other. This is a physical method of separation which involves boiling followed by condensation. The working principle is the large difference (more than 250C between the boiling points of two liquids. On heating, the liquid with lower boiling point first turns into vapours; these vapours pass through a condenser and are later collected as the distillate. Whereas, the liquid with higher boiling point goes through the same cycle later at a higher temperature.
