The process through which a liquid converts into vapor below its boiling point is called________
Evaporation
Evaporation is a surface phenomenon. The particles of liquid are always in motion and at any given temperature, there are particles with different amounts of kinetic energy. Some of the particles that are present at the surface have higher kinetic energy compared to those present in the bulk of the liquid. These particles can break their bonds with other particles to overcome the force of attraction and get converted into vapor.
