Solution

Let P be the unknown integer.

Given: Product of the integers = 60

One of the integers is -12.

P × (-12) = 60 [1 mark]

P = 60 ÷ (-12) = -5

(since 12 × 5 = 60 and when a postive number is divided by a negative number, quotient will be negative)

The required number is -5. [1 mark]
