The product of two numbers 44×20=880

To round off a number to the nearest 100, we first look for the closest lower and higher multiple of 100 of that number.
In this case it will be 800 and 900.
Next, we look at the number formed by the last 2 digits of the number. If the number formed is 50 or above , we round up the number to the higher multiple of 100.
If the number formed is less than 50 we round down the number to the lower multiple of 100.
80 > 50. Hence 880 will be rounded up to 900.
