We know that,

Product of the two numbers $=$ One number $\times$ Second number

$$\begin{gathered} \Rightarrow 4\frac{4}{9}=6\frac{2}{9}\times \text{Second number} \\ \Rightarrow \frac{40}{9}÷\frac{56}{9}=\text{Second number} \end{gathered}$$

$$\begin{gathered} \Rightarrow \frac{40}{9}\times \frac{9}{56}=\text{Second number} \\ \Rightarrow \text{Second number}=\frac{40}{56} \end{gathered}$$

$$\begin{gathered} =\frac{5\times 8}{7\times 8} \\ =\frac{5}{7} \end{gathered}$$

Hence, the other number is $\frac{5}{7}$.
