Solution

Given that, the product of two successive multiples of 4 is 28 more than the first multiple.
To find out: The multiples.

Let the multiples be 4x and 4x+4

4x(4x+4)=28+4x

4x2+4x7x=0

4x2+3x7=0

4x24x+7x7=0

4x(x1)+7(x1)=0

(4x+7)(x1)=0

x=74 or x=1

x cannot be a negative number.

x=1

Hence, the multiples are 4 and 8.
