Given the distribution:

Adding the profit percentage donated to each NGO and equating it to the total profit to form a linear equation, we have:

x + 72 + 3(x + 32 ) = 40


x + 72 + 3x + 92 + (-40) = 0

Using commutative property,
x + 3x + 72 + 92 + (-40) = 0

Using associative property,
{x + 3x} + {72 + 92 + -40} = 0

4x - 32 = 0

On simplifying,
x = 8

Profit for relief fund
= (x +72 )%
= (8 + 72 )%
= 11.5 %

Profit for cancer research fund
= 3 ×( 8 + 32 )%
= (24 + 92)%
