"The pyramid of biomass of terrestrial ecosystem are always upright" said Jyothsna. Do you agree with this statement or not? Give reason.

Yes, I agree with the statement. In a terrestrial ecosystem such as a grassland ecosystem, the biomass decreases as we move from the lower towards each higher trophic level i.e from producers to primary consumers to secondary consumers. This happens because producers such as shrubs and herbs have the highest biomass and are higher than the animals which consume them. This decreases as we move towards higher trophic levels and is least in the highest predators in the food chain.
