Given, radii of the ends of a frustum are r=5m and R=8m
Lateral height l=5m
LSA of frusturn=π(R+r)l
=227(8+5)×5m2
=204.29m2
Height h=√l2−(R−r)2
=√52−(8−5)2m
=√16m
=4m
Volume of the frustum =13πh(R2+r2+Rr)
=13×227×4(82+52+8×5)
=13×227×4×129
=540.57m2
Hence, the lateral surface area is 204.29m2 and volume is 540.57m2.
