Given that

The radius of a circle is 5cm.

The diameter of a circle = radius × 2

On substituting the values we get:

Diameter of the circle = 5 × 2 = 10 cm

The diameter is the longest chord in a circle.

Hence, the length of any chord of the circle cannot be 12 cm.
