Given,

The radius of curvature R=12cm .

The focal length is given as f=R2=122=6cm .

Magnification is given as 1.5, hence

M=vu

1.5=vu

v=1.5u

Now according to the mirror formula

1f=1v+1u

16=11.5u+1u

16=2.51.5u

u=2.5×61.5

u=10cm .

Hence the object distance obtained is 10cm .
