The radius of the base of a cylindrical tank is 0.4 m and height is 0.8 m. How many litres of oil will the tank hold?
(π = 3.14, 1 litre = 1000 cu cm)

Radius of cylindrical tank (r) = 0.4 m
Height of cylindrical tank (h) = 0.8 m
Volume of cylindrical tank = πr2h
= 3.14 × 0.4 × 0.4 × 0.8
= 0.40192 cu m
= 401920 cu cm (1m3 = 1000000 cm3)
=4019201000 litres 1000 cu cm = 1 litre=401.92 litres

So, the tank will hold 401.92 litres of oil.
