(i) curved surface area
(ii) total surface area
(iii) volume of the right circular cylinder. π=227

Solution

Given:
Radius of the base of the right circular cylinder (r) = 3 cm
Height (h) = 7 cm
(i) Curved surface area of the cylinder = 2πrh
= 2 × 227 × 3 × 7
= 132 cm2

(ii) Total surface area of the cylinder = 2πr(h + r)
= 2 × 227 × 3 × (7 + 3)
= 188.6 cm2

(iii) Volume of the cylinder = πr2h
= 227 × 32 × 7
= 198 cm3
