The total no of students = rank of Amar from top + rank of Amar from last - 1
= 9 + 14 – 1 = 22
Total no of student who passed = rank of Amar from top + rank of Amar from last - 1 = 5 + 11 - 1 = 15 $\therefore$ No. of failed students = 22 – 15 = 7
