The rate of planting the grass is Rs.x per m2. Find the cost of planting the grass on a triangular lawn whose base is y metres and height is z metres.

Step 1: Find the area of triangle.

Given:

Base = ym, Height = zm

Area of triangle = 12×base×height

12×y×z

Area of triangle = 12yzsq.m

Step 1: Find the rate of planting.

Rate of planting = Rs.x per m2

Total cost = Rate of planting × Area of triangle

=x×12yz

=12xyz

Hence rate of planting is 12xyz
