Transpiration rate reduces proportionally with increase in atmospheric humidity as there is shallow gradient formed as compared to steep gradient formed when air is dry. When ground water is sufficient the plant is sufficiently hydrated and the transpiration rate is normal. High velocity winds carry away evaporated water and hence increase the transpiration rate. A hot environment dries up water fast and hence increases the rate of transpiration as well.
