The ratio between the length and the perimeter of a rectangular plot is 1 : 3. and the ratio between the breadth and perimeter of that plot is 1 : 6. What is the ratio between the length and area of that plot?

The correct option is D Data inadequate
Let length be l, breadth be b and perimeter =2(l+b)
According to first given condition:
l2(l+b)=13
3l=2(l+b) .......(1)
According to second given condition:
b2(l+b)=16
6b=2(l+b) .........(2)
Divide (2) by (1). we get,
6b3l=1
2b=l
Area of plot =l×b
Ratio of length to area =2bl×b=2l
As neither length or breadth is given so ratio cant be determined.
Option D is correct.
