Let number of men working in the office $=$ $x$
Therefore,
$\frac{N u m b e r o f m e n w o r k i n g}{u m b e r o f w o m e n w o r k i n g} = \frac{5}{7}$
$\frac{x}{42} = \frac{5}{7} x = \frac{5 \times 42}{7} x = 30$
Hence, number of men working in the office is $30$
