Solution

The correct option is C Rs. 1250
Given ratio between number of passengers travelling by I and II class between two railway station is 1:50.
And ratio of I and II class fare between the same stations is 3:1 and total collection per day is Rs. 1325.
Let fare of I and II class are 3x:x
As per given condition, daily passenger travelling in I class is x and II class is 50x.
Then total collection =3x+50x
But given collection per day is Rs. 1325
Therefore, 3x+50x=1325
53x=1325
x=25
The amount collected from II class passengers is 25×50= Rs. 1250.
