$\because$ $\text{Product of mean = Product of extremes}$

$\Rightarrow$ $x=\frac{9\times 9.6}{8}=\frac{86.4}{8}$

$\therefore$ $x=10.8$

Hence, the weight of copper in alloy is $10.8\text{kg}$.
