Then, the ratio of income to the expenditure of a family is 21000:x

According to question, the ratio of income to the expenditure of a family is 7:6

76=21000x⇒x×7=21000×67x=126000x=1260007x=18000

Therefore, the expenditure of a family is ₹18000.

Step 2: Finding the savings:

Totalincome=Expenditure+Savings⇒Savings=Totalincome-Expenditure=21000-18000=3000
