Let the present ages of father be 3x and daugter be x.
so the 4 year ago father's age and daughter's age was (3x-4) and (x-4)
$\Rightarrow (\frac{3 x - 4}{x - 4}) = \frac{4}{1}$
$∴$ x =12 year and 3x =36 year

Two year from now, their age will be 14 and 38 years.
Average age = ( 14+38 )/ 2 = 26 Years
