Let the base be $5x$ & height be $2x$

Area of parallelogram $=$ base $\times$ height

$\Rightarrow 5x\times 2x=1000$

$\Rightarrow x^2=100$

$\Rightarrow x=10$

Base $=5x=50$m & height $=2x=20$ m.
