The ratio of the length of a rectangle to its breadth is 3:2. If the perimeter of the rectangle is 20 cm find length, breadth, and area.

Let the length be 3x and breadth 2x.

Perimeter of the given rectangle is 20 cm.

Perimeter of rectangle =2(l+b)

20=2(3x+2x)

20=2×5x

20=10x

x=2010

x=2

length =3x=3×2=6 cm

breadth =2x=2×2=4 cm

Area = length×breadth =6 cm×4 cm

Area =24 cm2
