A monohybrid cross is a breeding experiment in which two individuals of the same species that differ in a single trait are cross bred.
In a cross between homozygous tall and dwarf plants, the F1 generation plants obtained are all heterozygous tall (Tt). When these plants are crossed with each other, the ratio obtained is 3:1, with three-fourths of the plants being tall (TT and Tt) and one-fourth dwarf plants (tt).
