Let the cost of the two houses last year be Rs. $4x$ and Rs. $5x$.

Then $\frac{4x+25\%of\left(4x\right)}{5x+50,000}=\frac{9}{10}$

$\Rightarrow \frac{1.25\times 4x}{5x+50,000}=\frac{9}{10}$

$\Rightarrow 50x=45x+9\times 50000$

$\Rightarrow 5x=9\times 9\times 50000$

$\Rightarrow x=90,000$

$\therefore$ $A$'s price last year $=4\times$ Rs. $90,000=$ Rs. $3,60,000$.
