For, $5 x^{2} - 14 x + 8 = 0$

$S u m o f t h e r o o t s = - \frac{(- 14)}{5} = \frac{14}{5}$

$P r o d u c t o f t h e r o o t s = \frac{7}{5}$

Thus, sum of roots : product of roots = $\frac{14}{5} : \frac{7}{5} = 14 : 7 = 2$
