Let the total weight of alloy be $Xkg$

Also Sum of terms of ratio is $9+7=16$

Therefore, $\frac{9}{16}\times x=11.7$ As weight of copper is $11.7kg$

$$\begin{gathered} \Rightarrow 9x=11.7\times 16 \\ \Rightarrow x=\frac{11.7\times 16}{9} \\ \Rightarrow x=20.8kg \end{gathered}$$

we get weight of Alloy as $20.8kg$

Now, weight of Zinc is

$\frac{7}{16}\times 20.8=7\times 1.3=9.1kg$

Hence, the Weight of zinc in the Alloy is $9.1kg$
