The ratios of the heights and the radii of the cylinders are 1:2 and 2:1 respectively. Find out the ratio of their volumes.

Let R and H are radius and height of 1st cylinder respectively . and r , h are radius , height of 2nd cylinder respectively .

volume of 1st cylinder /volume of 2nd cylinder = pi.R^2 H/pi.r^2.h

given ,

R/r = (2/1)
H/h = (1/2)

= R^2H/r^2h

= (R/r)^2 (H/h)

=(2/1)^2 (1/2)

=2
v1:v2=2:1
