The ray diagram shown below is introduced to show how a concave mirror forms the image of an object.
i) Identify the mistake and draw the correct ray diagram.
ii) Write the justifications for your corrections.

Solution

Since line joining center of curvature and mirror is normal to surface at that point, hence ray will trace back its path. Where as if a light ray passes through focus will travel parallel to principal axis after reflection.
