For first-order reaction; rate law will be:

Rate of reaction (R1)=k[NO2] ...(i)

If the volume of the reaction vessel is reduced to 13, concentration increase by three times

Rate of reaction (R2)=k×3[NO2] ...(ii)

On dividing both equation:

Rate of reaction(R1)Rate of reaction(R2)=k[NO2]k×3[NO2]

R2=3×R1

Hence, the correct answer is option C.
