The reaction between A and B is first order with respect to A and zero order with respect to B. Fill in the blanks in the following table :
Experiment[A]/M[B]/MInitial rate/ M min
I0.10.12.0×102
II....0.24.0×102

Solution

By the question given we get rate of equation as
rate=k[A][B]0
[B] that is there no dependence on the concentration of B.
(I) 2.0×102=K×0.1
Rate Constant (K)=2.0×1021×101=2×101=0.2
(II)4×102=0.2×[A]
[A]=42×101×102
[A]=2×101=0.2
(III)R=0.2×0.4
R=8×102
(IV) Rate =0.2×[A]
2.0×102=0.2×[A]
[A]=2.0×1022×101
[A]=0.1
