Solution

Dear student,

The Electropositivity of metals decreases while moving down the reactivity series. This reactivity series is also known as activity series here metals are arranged in descending order of their reactivity. The metals which are placed at the top have ability to donate their eletrons easily hence forming a cation while this electron donating tendency of the metal reduces while moving down the reactivity series. So this electropositivity is nothing but the ability of an element to donate electrons and react easily, which is a property of metals. Hence like reactivity the electropositive character of metals also decreases down the reactivity series.
