Solution

The correct option is C 0.095
Given that,
Refractive index of glass for red light, μr=1.613
Refractive index of glass for violet light, μv=1.632
Angle of prism, A=5

Deviation for the red light is given by,
δr=(μr1)A
Deviation for the violet light is,
δv=(μv1)A

Thus, the angular dispersion produced is:
Δθ=δvδr
or, Δθ=(μv1)A(μr1)A
Δθ=(μvμr)A
Δθ=(1.6321.613)×5
Δθ=0.019×5=0.095
Why this question?
Tip: Angular dispersion is the angular region, which contains all the deviated light components after refraction from prism.
