During menstruation cycle, gonadotropins (LH and FSH) stimulates follicular development as well as secretion of estrogens by the growing follicles. Both LH and FSH reached at maximum level in the middle of the cycle (about 14th day). Rapid secretion of LH leads to LH surge and rupture the Graafian follicle for ovulation to occur.
