Solution

Given n(S)=30,n(H)=23,n(T)=50,n(HT)=20,n(HS)=10,n(TS)=8,
n(HST)=5,n(U)=100
We have
n(HST)=n(H)+n(S)+n(T)n(HT)n(HS)n(ST)+n(HST)
n(HST)=10338+5=70

Now, the number of students who took none of three langugaes
=n(HST)
=n(U)n(HST)
=10070
=30

So, 30 students did not take any of the three languages.
