R2=(3P)2+(2P)2+12P2cosθ
R2=P2(13+12cosθ)(1)

If first force is doubled then, the resultant is also doubled
(2R)2=(6P)2+(2P)2+24P2cosθ
4R2=P2(40+24cosθ)(2)

Dividing the equation 1 and 2,
4=40+24cosθ13+12cosθ
52+48cosθ=40+24cosθcosθ=12θ=120
