Since the wall moves toward soil, passive pressure will be generated

PP=KPγz+2CKP

KP=1+sin201sin20=2.04

At top of retaining wall,

pp=2.04×18×0+2×102.04=28.566 kN/m2

At bottom of retaining wall,

pp=2.04×18×6+28.566=248.89 kN/m2



Thrust

=[12×6×(248.89+28.566)]
= 832.368 kN

= 832.37 kN
