Solution

The correct option is A fovea centralis
The retina is the inner layer of the eye. It receives light and converts it into neural impulses. It transmits these neural impulses to the brain for visual recognition.
The retina is most sensitive at fovea centralis. Fovea is the central pit of the yellowish pigmented spot called macula lutea present at the posterior pole of the eye lateral to the blind spot. The visual acuity is the greatest at fovea centralis. This is because it is densely packed with cone photoreceptor cells.
The blind spot is that region of the eye where there are no photoreceptor cells present.
The optic disc is site where ganglion cell axons exit the eye to form the optic nerve. The optic disc is devoid of rods or cones.
