The pressure exerted by water is exactly proportional to its depth, the pressure in a water body increases linearly as the depth of water increases.
Therefore, the pressure exerted by water on a body increases with an increase in depth.
As the bubble rises up, the depth decreases, and in turn, the pressure exerted on it decreases.
Due to the decrease in the pressure by the water on the bubble inward in comparison to the outward pressure from the air inside the bubble, the net pressure is towards outwards which makes the extension of the bubble while rising in the water.
