Solution

(a) Total sales of salesman A = Rs 18,000Central angle of the total sales of salesman A =90°Central angle of the total sales of salesman A =Total sales of salesman ATotal sales ×360°90°=18000Total sales ×360°Total sales =18000×36090 =Rs 72,000

Now, we have to calculate the sales of each salesman :Central angle of total sales of salesman B=Total sales of salesman B Total sales×360°120°=Total sales of salesman B72000×360° Total sales of salesman B=120×72000360 =Rs 24,000

Central angle of total sales of salesman C=Total sales of salesman C Total sales ×360°80°=Total sales of salesman C72000×360° Total sales of salesman C=80×72000360=Rs 16,000

Central angle of the total sales of salesman D=Total sales of salesman D Total sales×360°70°=Total sales of salesman D72000×360° Total sales of salesman D=70×72000360=Rs14,000

The table given below shows the sales of each salesman.
A B C D
Rs 18,000 Rs 24,000 Rs 16,000 Rs 14,000

(b) Salesman B had the highest sales, i.e. Rs 24,000.
(c) Highest sales = Rs 24,000
Lowest sales = Rs 14,000
Difference between the highest sales and the lowest sales = Rs (24000-14000) = Rs 10,000.

(d) As calculated in part (a), total values of sales is Rs 72,000.
